Dental NTK International Warranty Policy
Transparent warranty policy optimized for the maximum benefit and peace of mind of international patients
💡 Legal Notice: Dental NTK is the registered international division of Nha Khoa Tre Clinic (nhakhoatre.com).
1. Why This Policy Is Different
We designed this warranty policy with the ultimate goal of transparency and protecting the practical rights of our international patients. Often, international dental warranties can be hindered by vague eligibility conditions, complex exclusions hidden in the fine print, or a lack of support once the patient has returned home and cannot travel back. Dental NTK's policy is built to address these challenges directly. Every warranty period is clearly defined, all exclusions are published transparently up front, and we provide practical support options in your home country so you can undergo treatment with complete peace of mind.
2. Coverage Summary — All Treatment Categories
Warranty periods begin on the date treatment is completed (final crown seated, final retainer fitted, etc.), not the date of first surgery.
| Treatment Category | Warranty Period | Scope |
|---|---|---|
| Dental Implants — fixture | 10 years (Lifetime on Straumann / Nobel Biocare) | Free replacement of the implant post itself |
| Implant Crown / Restoration | 7 years | Porcelain or zirconia crown fitted on implant |
| All-on-4 / All-on-6 Full Arch | 10 years (fixtures) / 5 years (prosthesis) | Framework and prosthetic teeth separate terms |
| Porcelain Veneers | 5 years | Debonding/chipping under normal use |
| Crowns & Bridges (E.max/Zirconia) | 7 years | Fracture/debonding from defect |
| Root Canal Treatment | 2 years | Re-treatment if infection recurs |
| Composite Fillings | 2 years | Replacement if filling fractures/falls out |
| Removable Dentures | 2 years | Structural defect, not normal wear |
| Orthodontics (Braces/Invisalign) | 12 months post-treatment + lifetime retainer support | Relapse only if retainer worn as directed |
| Teeth Whitening | No structural warranty | 30-day shade consultation. Result depends on diet/lifestyle |
| Gum Treatment / Wisdom Tooth | 90-day complication review | One-time procedures, reviewed for complications only |
3. What Is Covered
- Failure of an implant fixture to integrate, or loss of a placed implant, due to a manufacturing or surgical defect.
- Fracture, chipping, or debonding of a crown, bridge, or veneer caused by a material defect or workmanship error — not by accident or force.
- Recurrence of infection at a tooth we root-canal treated.
- Structural failure of a denture base or clasp under normal use.
- Orthodontic relapse within 12 months, provided the retainer was worn as instructed.
- The full cost of clinically necessary re-treatment — specialist time and laboratory work, not materials alone.
- Unlimited free remote consultations (photo/video review) for any warranty concern, for the life of the warranty.
4. What Is Not Covered
Standard exclusions across the industry — and at Dental NTK:
- •Damage from trauma, accidents, or using teeth as tools (opening bottles, chewing ice)
- •Failure linked to an undisclosed medical condition (uncontrolled diabetes, osteoporosis on bisphosphonates, autoimmune disease, prior head/neck radiotherapy)
- •Bruxism damage where a recommended night guard was not worn
- •Complications from poor oral hygiene or missed recommended reviews
- •Any work altered or treated by another dentist before you contact us
- •Normal wear, minor shade change over time, or a change of cosmetic preference
- •Travel, accommodation, meals, or time off work related to a warranty visit
- •Implant complications linked to continued smoking after being advised of the risk
- •Temporary crowns, bridges, or dentures (interim restorations are not warrantied)
- •Bone grafting or sinus lift materials required for a second implant attempt, where the first attempt is covered but additional materials are not
5. Rights & Responsibilities — Clearly Divided
A warranty only works if both sides know exactly what they owe each other. This is the core of what makes our policy different.
DENTAL NTK — Our Responsibilities
- ✓Provide a written, signed warranty certificate in English before you leave the clinic
- ✓Use only branded, traceable materials (Straumann, Nobel Biocare, Ivoclar E.max or equivalent) unless otherwise agreed in writing
- ✓Cover the full cost of clinically necessary re-treatment for covered failures — specialist time, lab work, and replacement materials
- ✓Respond to any warranty enquiry within 2 business days
- ✓Offer free remote review (photos/video call) before requiring a return trip
- ✓Coordinate with a local dentist in your home country if return travel is genuinely not feasible, and reimburse pre-approved reasonable repair costs
Patient — Your Responsibilities
- ✓Disclose full medical history and medications accurately before treatment begins
- ✓Follow all written aftercare and hygiene instructions
- ✓Attend recommended reviews — in person or via the remote check-in option
- ✓Wear a night guard or retainer if recommended
- ✓Avoid smoking during the healing period following implant surgery (minimum 3 months)
- ✓Report any issue within 14 days of noticing it, with photos and a description
6. How to Make a Claim
Notify us within 14 days with photos and details
Clinical review and response within 2 business days
Written approval of repair scope before travel
Approved repairs are at no cost. Additional bone grafting or sinus lift materials required for a second attempt are billed separately.
7. Annual Reviews — Without the Forced Return Trip
Many overseas clinics quietly require an annual in-person visit to keep a warranty valid — an expensive trap for patients who live far away. We do not. Your annual review can be done remotely: send updated photos, or a short video of your bite and gums, through WhatsApp or email. We will tell you if something needs an in-person look. An in-person visit is only required when we can see a genuine reason for one, not as a default.
8. Support for Patients Who Cannot Return to Vietnam
We understand that traveling back to Vietnam for warranty repairs can be highly inconvenient for international patients due to work constraints, health conditions, or travel limitations. To guarantee your peace of mind and protect your investment, Dental NTK offers a comprehensive home-country support policy structured as follows:
- 1. Eligibility Conditions: Applies to covered technical or material faults approved by Dental NTK via remote assessment, where the patient has compelling reasons (medical unfitness to fly, visa restrictions, or professional/personal constraints) preventing them from traveling back to Vietnam.
- 2. Initial Contact & Remote Assessment: Before undergoing any dental work locally, the patient must contact Dental NTK via Email or WhatsApp with clear photos, X-rays (if available), and a description of symptoms. Our clinical team will perform an initial remote diagnosis before authorizing next steps.
- 3. Collaboration with a Local Dentist: Upon receiving prior written consent from Dental NTK, the patient may visit a certified, licensed dental clinic in their home country (e.g., Australia). The local dentist will perform an examination and provide a detailed treatment plan and cost estimate.
- 4. Mandatory Pre-Approval of Costs: The patient must submit the local dentist's treatment plan and quote to Dental NTK. We will review and issue a written approval confirming the exact covered amount before any local treatment begins. Dental NTK cannot reimburse any unauthorized expenses incurred prior to this written approval.
- 5. Reimbursement Limits & Process: Dental NTK will reimburse reasonable, pre-approved repair costs up to 100% of the original treatment cost paid to us for that specific service. Reimbursements will be processed via bank transfer upon receiving official invoices and clinical records from the local practitioner.
- 6. Scope of Local Treatment: Home-country treatment is intended for minor adjustments, bite corrections, or stabilization repairs. Major re-treatments (such as replacing failed implant fixtures or fabricating new large bridges) must still be carried out directly at our clinic in Hanoi to ensure the highest standards of clinical success.
9. If We Disagree — Dispute Resolution
If you believe a claim has been unfairly declined, you may request a written second opinion from our Clinical Director within 14 days. If the disagreement remains unresolved, both parties agree to attempt mediation before any other action, through a mutually agreed independent mediator. This policy is governed by the laws of Vietnam, without limiting any consumer protections that may separately apply to you under Australian law.
10. Travel Insurance — Please Read
This warranty covers the quality of your dental treatment. It is not a substitute for travel insurance, which covers genuine emergencies, medical evacuation, and trip disruption — not planned dental work. We strongly recommend arranging appropriate travel insurance before you depart.
